Walter Stein passed away on April 12, 2025, leaving behind loving family and friends. He is survived by his son, Brian Stein and Brian's wife Daisy, and predeceased by his son David Loring Stein. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Centereach, Long Island. He was in the United States Airforce as a radio operator and mechanic. After his service in the Airforce he worked as a narcotics officer for the Rockefeller program. He was greatly honored by his courageous service during WWII and was decorated with many medals. He will receive military honors at Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River, NY on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from noon to 1pm.
