Alexe is survived by his sister, Jennifer Pizzino, girlfriend, Joanne Hodgson, and godson, Nicholas. He lived in Bayshore and passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn after battling a long illness. He will be cremated in a private event.

Alex was a kind and gentle man. I only knew Alex during his admissions to St Francis Hospital. One thing for sure he loved his cats. He fought hard. May he rest in peace. Alex will be missed.
