Sherida Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sherida Kelly. Sheri was a caring mother, doting grandmother, sister, and friend. Sheri passed away on April 26, 2023 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. Her love for life and warm heart will be sorely missed.

Sheri was born on June 3rd, 1949 and grew up in Queens, NY. She was blessed with three children Maye, Dawn, and Sheri; and three grandchildren Taylor, Nicole, and Robert. Sheri was an active member of the church, where she spent a lot of her Sunday’s. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and playing games with her family and friends. Her love of cooking and gardening was passed down to her children, grandchildren and those around her who had the pleasure of enjoying her delicious food. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sheri. She loved a quiet evening with friends and a glass of wine in hand. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her witty and pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Sheri was a warm and kind-hearted person who touched the lives of many. She was always ready with a listening ear, kind words, and a warm smile. She will always be remembered for her compassion, and kindness. Sheri is survived by her daughters, Maye and Dawn; grandchildren, Taylor, Nicole, and Robert; great grandchildren Emma and Micah; a brother, Christopher and his wife Linda.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday May 3rd, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church. She will be deeply missed and will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and devoted woman who left an indelible mark on everyone she met. May she rest in peace.
